Welcome to another exciting year of math! Being prepared, on time and a positive attitude are key to being successful in math class this year. I am passionate about math and science because of the wonderful teachers and the experiences they provided over the years. My hope is to leave your child with lasting experiences as well.
Class Announcements
Reflex Math
Students are encouraged to visit the Reflex math website (can be found by logging on through CLEVER) to practice basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
When using Reflex, please type in the following username: skeeleyFIS, then choose your name from the listed classes to begin practicing your math facts.
Supplies
IN CLASS (at school) SUPPLES...
Students are required to have at least
-a 1 1/2 inch binder (with paper)
-pencils are required for math class
-dry erase marker
Please be prepared and ready to work when you arrive to class on time.
*This year in 8th grade, binders are to be brought to class everyday by the student. If the student arrives unprepared multiple times, consequences will be given.
Quiz Corrections
Quiz corrections are being done differently this year. Students will earn half points back for correct answer, work shown and explanation (if necessary) by completing a different version of the quiz.
*Corrections are not permitted on unit tests.
Extra credit assignments are NOT given.
