The mission of the FIS ROAR initiative is to foster and promote a safe and positive school environment by inspiring and empowering students and staff to apply skills necessary to be successful in all aspects of their lives.
We will inspire the creativity and imagination of all students and empower them as knowledgeable, skillful, and confident learners who flourish and contribute willingly in a changing world.
ROAR EXPECTATIONS
ROAR Expectations can be seen in areas within our school. The following matric provides staff and students with ROAR qualities within our classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, bathroom, and during arrival/dismissal.
ROAR STAFF

As part of our PBIS program at FIS we have adopted ROAR a school wide framework for all staff to follow. When working with studnets, the FIS staff will:
- Intergrate ROAR language into the classroom culture
- Provide students with more reteaching than correction
- Talk to students with respect using a positive tone
- Look for the positive first and provide positive immediate and frequent feedback to all students
- Will recognize and celebrate students for demonstrating ROAR qualities through the distribution of ROAR tickets
- Provide weekly ROAR lessons
ROAR STUDENTS

As part of our PBIS ROAR program at FIS, we have adopted a school wide framework for all students to follow. Students will be expected to:
- Demonstrate respect for self and others, their school, and community
- Demonstrate on task behaviors and ownership of learning inside and outside of school
- Accept others as a valued part of the community and respect differences and beliefs
- Be responsible for their education, words, actions, and be role models in the school and community
