What is The National Junior Honor Society?

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a non-profit organization led by middle school students who have dedicated themselves to outstanding scholarship, service, leadership and character.  They have taken a vow to inspire everyone to be their best.

The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in our students.

At FIS, our NJHS members initiate and coordinate service projects and inspire the entire students body to participate.  Members may also work with local businesses and service centers to gain unique business perspectives and work ethics, and/or take college tours to incite a better understanding of collegiate atmospheres.

Our National Junior Honor Society Students are seen as service-minded leaders, and we encourage them to take extreme initiative in their academic, service, leadership and character pillars.
